Teaching

I am a lecturer in several courses within the fields of English Didactics and linguistics. My work at USN includes teaching, student supervision, and syllabus development on several campuses: Porsgrunn, Vestfold, Ringerike, and Drammen. I am also supervising and teaching on some of our web-based courses. Here is the list of courses I am involved at the moment.


Campus Porsgrunn

MG1EN3 1 – Master 1-7 engelsk 3. English 3 for 1-7, Languages and Language Learning . The course builds on English 1 and 2, and focuses on English teaching in primary (1-7) education, as well as on young learners’ second language acquisition development. To see the year plan, click here.

MG2EN3 1 – Master 5-10 engelsk. English 3 for 5-10, Languages and Language Learning . The course builds on English 1 and 2, and focuses on English teaching in lower secondary (8-10) education, as well as on learners’ second language acquisition development. To see the year plan, click here.

KKENGM2. Language, literacy, and literature in the English classroom This course is a part of USN’s competence-for-quality program for in-service teachers. The focus is on teaching methods for the primary school English classroom.


Campus Vestfold

KK-ENG8101. Texts and written communication. This course is a part of USN’s competence-for-quality program for in-service teachers. The focus is placed on Didactics, Literature, and Grammar. To see the course year plan, click here.

BS-BAO3000-1. English Bachelor theses supervision. The Bachelor thesis is a large individual written assignment which is produced under the supervision of a teacher. The extension for the thesis is approximately 8,000 words. To see the year plan, click here.

MENGM1KFK – Engelsk 1 1-7 – midfylket. Language learning and literacy development in English. This course is a part of USN’s competence-for-quality program for in-service teachers.
